There is some beautiful scenery surrounding us here at Glasfryn Parc, from the Snowdonia Mountains within the National Park to the Llyn Peninsula’s stunning coastline… You can experience the best of both worlds! Whether you’re into you’re hiking and adventure or whether you want to relax on the golden sands of the beaches, you’re never short on places to explore.
We are very lucky to be situated on the foot of Yr Eifil, a spectacular mountain trio that stretches out into the Irish Sea. One of these mountains, named Tre Ceiri, holds the ruins of a very impressive Iron Age Fort at its summit. The walk to the summit isn’t strenuous, and is classed as an easy to moderate walk (www.trekkingbritain.com) and is suitable for families with children. It is also educational as there is various information plaques dotted about the mountain top displaying the Hillforts history. On the summit the views are pretty spectacular reaching out as far as the coastline on the other side of the peninsula. On a clear day it is even possible to see Ireland in the distance! It’s also a great viewpoint for the Snowdonia National Park, with Snowdons peak towering above the surrounding mountains.
