The countdown has begun!

The Welsh Wakeboard Open is around the corner! The very first ever International Water Ski and Wakeboard (IWWF) 4* World Tour Stop in Great Britain is only 5 weeks away!

As the only Cable Wakepark in North Wales, Glasfryn Parc decided to showcase the sport and host The Welsh Wakeboard Open; the first ever International Water Ski and Wakeboard (IWWF) 4* World Tour Stop in Great Britain. The Welsh Wakeboard Open is the first competition of the highest standard in the UK and we expect to see a range of international riders competing for the £2,800 prize and 600 World Ranking Points!

Along with setting a high standard wakeboarding competition, our aim is to raise the profile of water sports in the local area and get the community involved in the sport. There will be a chance for wakeboarders of any ability to compete in the Grassroots Tour Stop at the end of the weekend hosted by Industry Wake Parks.  The tour is aimed at anyone from a first timer to a seasoned pro, it is all about having fun, progressing your riding and developing a community spirit at the wake park. If you don’t fancy competing in the wakeboarding competitions it is free to come and watch- so don’t miss out!
